Contractor course

All work carried out within 30 meters of the Bybanen track is subject to competence requirements in accordance with §5-1 of “Regulation no. 1334 on requirements of railway, including trams, underground railways and suburban railways, etc” (Kravforskriften). In practice, this applies to work between tracks and up to and including the façade of adjacent houses. To carry out work close to the track and to be able to apply to Bybanen AS for a work permit, at least one person responsible for the project must complete the contractor course. All persons who act as site manager or safety guard at the work site must have completed the course. For questions about the course or work permit, contact drift@bybanen.no.
